What Docusign Personal costs for a team of 1–25
At five people, Docusign Personal costs $11 a month — $132 a year.
The cost at your headcount
Figures are the annual-billing rate. “Billed seats” is what appears on the invoice, which is not always the number of people you have.
| People | Billed seats | Per month | Per year | Per person/mo |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | $11 | $132 | $11 |
| 3 | 3 | $11 | $132 | $3.67 |
| 5 | 5 | $11 | $132 | $2.20 |
| 10 | 10 | $11 | $132 | $1.10 |
| 25 | 25 | $11 | $132 | $0.44 |
What the table above does not capture
Single user, annual commitment of $132. Docusign states a monthly-billing option exists but we have not verified its rate.
What forces the upgrade
The limit you hit first decides the real cost more often than the headline rate does — a plan you outgrow in four months was never the cheap one.
- 1 users before this plan stops fitting.
- Five envelopes per MONTH. Docusign counts envelopes, not signatures — one envelope can hold several documents and signers.
How Docusign Personal is priced, and what that does as you grow
Priced per organisation — $11 a month covering 1 user.
Extra users are not simply billed on top — the vendor gates them by plan tier instead, so growing past 1 user means a tier change rather than an incremental charge. Budget the tier, not the seat.
Docusign does offer monthly billing on this plan, but the figure is behind a JavaScript toggle we have not verified from an official source. We would rather leave it blank than print a number we have not read. The annual rate above is verified.
Where it sits against the e-signature alternatives
At five people, Docusign Personal is the cheapest of the e-signature plans we track.
| Product | 1 | 3 | 5 | 10 | 25 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Docusign Personal | $11 | $11 | $11 | $11 | $11 |
| SignWell | $30 | $30 | $54 | $114 | $294 |
| Docusign Standard | $30 | $90 | $150 | $300 | $750 |
Against every e-signature product we track, the cheaper of the two does not change anywhere between one and twenty-five people — the ordering you see at five is the ordering you get at twenty-five. Price is therefore not the variable that should decide this one.

What this page does not tell you
Price is the easiest thing to verify and the least likely to decide whether a tool was a good idea. This page says nothing about whether your team will actually adopt it, how quickly you can remove someone's access when they leave, whether your data comes out in a usable shape, or what support is like when something breaks at month end. Those cost more than the gaps above when they go wrong, and none of them are visible on a pricing page — ours or the vendor's.
We have not run a hands-on lab test of Docusign Personal. When we do, it will be dated and logged in the test log, and this page will link to it. Until then, treat everything here as what it is: verified arithmetic on a published price.
